Welcome,

My name is Kody Barto and I grew up in Central Pennsylvania.  I moved to Las Vegas in 1998 with my wife.  Over the years, I have served the Clark County School District as a hall monitor, head grounds keeper, elementary teacher, dean, assistant principal and principal.   I have three children (two girls and a boy). My wife is an elementary PE teacher and we have been married for 24 years.  

I am honored to be the principal of Thomas O’Roarke Elementary School.  I come to you with a love and passion for educating children. I feel fortunate to be a part of a school where the culture is focused on student learning, with a commitment to high expectations, professional development, and collaboration.  It is my intention to honor traditions previously established and build a community that we call our own.

 

I want you to know that this web site was designed particularly for the students, parents and teachers in our school and community.   Our collective hope is that this website will be another effective way that we can let you know what is happening at the school as we work together during the school year.   The resources found here will help you know more about school policies, plans and the calendar of events at our school.  It also provides another way for you to contact your child's teacher or the school office.
